This one-of-a-kind steel sculpture was forged using various techniques including tapering, fullering, twisting, punching, and riveting.
The form of the "winged horns" was created by forging the steel and allowing its plastic deformation to create the gentle curves of the wings. When I first showed this piece to friends and family, half of them were reminded of animal horns and the other half thought about the wings of a bird.
The name came rather easy and so it goes.
This is a unique piece that will never be duplicated or remade.
At 6" tall and 6" wide, and weighing just under three pounds, this piece looks larger than it is yet will fit perfectly on a mantle, desk, or shelf.
